Newparts.com is proud to introduce BISON PERFORMANCE — an American-owned and operated supplier of OE quality parts. This brand isn’t just new to our offer, but to the entire market. Their story and their approach to quality control make them stand out in a highly competitive market. This is exactly why we’ve decided to add them to our growing portfolio of partners.
Join us as we go over the story of BISON PERFORMANCE, the parts they offer, and what this brand can do for your car!

The Story of BISON PERFORMANCE
Like most companies out there, BISON PERFORMANCE has an origin story. The people behind this brand have spent decades navigating the auto parts industry from all ends. Over the years, they’ve recognized a gap in the market that no one seemed to be interested in closing — providing quality aftermarket parts that were up there with the OE segment in terms of quality, but still affordable enough that anyone can get them and install them on their car.
Although it sounds simple on paper, this was no easy task. The team had to come up with the right type of product to meet the quality demands, all while keeping the production costs low enough. And so they did.
The entire BISON PERFORMANCE range of suspension and steering components is a result of meticulous engineering, the use of quality materials, and advanced manufacturing technologies to come up with a product that would perform like the OE one, last as long as the OE one, but cost less than what you’d have to pay for the OE part.
In essence, BISON PERFORMANCE fits into the premium category of the aftermarket segment.

BISON PERFORMANCE Parts — What’s Available at the Moment?
Being a new brand operated by people with plenty of experience in the auto parts industry, BISON PERFORMANCE has focused all its efforts on developing a few types of products. That way, anything they offer will meet this brand’s strict quality standards, and ensure that the end user is getting a durable product.
That being said, BISON PERFORMANCE offers the following:
- Ball joints
- Steering tie rods
- Tie rod ends
- Control arms
- Suspension stabilizer bar links
- Lateral arms
Here’s a brief overview of all these parts!
Ball Joints
Ball joints are a wear item. No matter how careful you are, or how slowly you drive over potholes, there will come a time when you’ll need to replace ball joints in your car. At that point, you can either go with a genuine, OEM, or an aftermarket part. Those on a budget are usually left with either OEM or aftermarket, with many leaning towards the latter, but wanting the quality of the former. That’s exactly what BISON PERFORMANCE Ball Joints bring to the table.
This brand offers a ball joint that utilizes proven solutions but in a slightly different way. With BISON PERFORMANCE, it’s all about the materials, technologies, and the way their products are put together.
A closer look at a BISON PERFORMANCE Ball Joint reveals a strong housing made of 5140 high-carbon alloy structural steel. This material was chosen to give the ball joint housing enough durability to handle any environmental factors over a prolonged period of use.
The ball stud itself is CNC machined in a way that brings surface roughness to a minimum. That way there is very little initial friction between the ball and the socket. A healthy amount of quality grease takes care of any leftover friction potential. Then there’s the DuPont™ Delrin® acetal ball bearing. This niche material was chosen due to its impressive hardness and ability to resist wear.
The last piece of the puzzle is a CR Elastomer dust cover that adds that final layer of protection from the environment. As a complete package, BISON PERFORMANCE Ball Joints achieve OE quality and provide good long-term durability.
Steering Tie Rods
Having good alignment on your car isn’t just a matter of getting the most out of your tires — it’s also a safety issue. Steering tie rods are an essential part of setting up proper front alignment, which is why people often opt to get the best they can afford. BISON PERFORMANCE Steering Tie Rods represent a good OE quality alternative to actual OE tie rods.
Just like their ball joints, BISON PERFORMANCE Steering Tie Rods feature all the right components and materials in places where they matter the most. Starting from the outer ends of the tie rod, we have a jam nut that’s made of grade 10 steel. This is the industry standard for the OEM segment. This nut will hold alignment despite being exposed to all kinds of forces and weather.
The steering tie rod itself is designed to be as light as possible while maintaining the necessary rigidity. The important bit — the ball and cup section — features that same high level of CNC machining seen on BISON PERFORMANCE Ball Joints, as well as DuPont™ Delrin® acetal resin bearing. If you’re looking for OE levels of performance in aftermarket steering tie rods, BISON PERFORMANCE is the way to go.
Tie Rod Ends
BISON PERFORMANCE Tie Rod Ends. This product borrows numerous solutions from their ball joints, with minor changes applied. You still get the precision machined ball and stud that sits in the DuPont™ Delrin® acetal resin bearing, all of which are cocooned in a CR Elastomer dust boot.
BISON PERFORMANCE Tie Rod Ends provide more responsive steering feedback while maintaining good alignment even in areas with harsh roads. Just like their ball joints and steering tie rods, BISON PERFORMANCE Tie Rod Ends deliver OE levels of quality and performance in a package that gives you a great bang for your buck.
Control Arms
Most front suspension systems are built around control arms. Not only do they allow the front wheels to turn even when the suspension is damping any vertical input, but they also affect ride comfort. In short, it’s a critical piece of any car’s suspension system that you definitely don’t want to compromise on. BISON PERFORMANCE Control Arms feature an aluminum or steel construction, depending on the application.
The aluminum control arms are made of 6000 series aluminum alloy, which is the industry standard. This type of aluminum has outstanding anti-corrosion properties that can handle years of exposure to road salts, weather, and other factors.
Steel control arms from BISON PERFORMANCE are made of high-carbon steel treated with a strong protective coating. Both aluminum and steel control arms are fitted with BISON PERFORMANCE ball joints, high-quality bushings, or a combination of both.
Suspension Stabilizer Bar Link
Sway, or stabilizer bar links, are an often overlooked part of the suspension system. However, they are an essential component when it comes to preventing body roll. BISON PERFORMANCE offers a wide range of aluminum and steel stabilizer bar links that fit a number of makes and models.
Each stabilizer bar link model features either a set of BISON PERFORMANCE Ball Joints. BISON PERFORMANCE Bushings are just as impressive as their ball joints. Each bushing is made in a state-of-the-art facility using computer-controlled injection molding processes and massive servo pressing parks. This ensures high levels of quality and consistency across all BISON PERFORMANCE Bushings, no matter their application.
Lateral Arms
Much like stabilizer bar links, BISON PERFORMANCE Lateral Arms feature the same bushing/ball joint combo depending on vehicle fitment. The exact same manufacturing processes are used to create these components, meaning that you’re getting the same type of reliability and durability. Some of these lateral arms are made of 5140 steel while some feature an aluminum construction.
The latter is made of 6000 series aluminum which was specifically chosen for its high tensile strength, increased resistance to corrosion, and overall resistance to wear. Steel lateral arms are treated with an Electrophoretic dip coating finish, which allows the steel chassis of the lateral to enjoy high levels of protection using a very thin layer of protective paint.
With BISON PERFORMANCE Lateral Arms, your car will get that OE feel back.
Bison Conservation Efforts
Quality parts aren’t the only thing that makes BISON PERFORMANCE stand out from other aftermarket brands. This company is heavily involved in Bison conservation efforts. So much so that 2% of their sales go directly to American Bison preservation initiatives.
And that is no marketing ploy either.
The team at BISON PERFORMANCE is already in talks with one well-known charity, while they are looking to get involved with another major Bison preservation group. Once these deals are finalized, the team will make an official announcement.
