FAQ - Answer 1No. The CV boot is housed on the axle and prevents grease from leaking out of the CV Joint. The bellows boot is housed on the steering rack and prevents dirt from getting into the steering rack and pinion system.
FAQ - Answer 2No. The boot does not need to be removed, but the clamp securing the bellows to the inner tie rod shaft will need to be loosened to prevent the bellows boot from twisting when the tie rod shaft is turned to adjust the vehicle toe in or toe out specs.
