This entity initially produced brake linings and clutch components under the license of Ferodo — a British company that specializes in the production of braking materials.

In the 1960s, the brand expanded its range of products by introducing braking systems, thermal systems, lighting systems, and electrical systems to its catalog.

In 1980, the company changed its name to Valeo. The same decade saw the expansion of the company’s presence in countries including the United States and South Korea.

Valeo’s specialty are auto part categories such as powertrain systems, especially clutches and clutch kits.

The company also produces a wide range of hydraulic parts such as clutch master cylinders and clutch slave cylinders, cooling and air conditioning systems that include radiators and AC condensers, as well as all the other air conditioning components.
